The 4th edition of the International Conference on Economics and Social Sciences (ICESS) took place on 10-11 June 2021

The 4th International Conference on Economics and Social Sciences (ICESS) took place during the 10th-11th of June, 2021 period, with the theme Resilience and Economic Intelligence through Digitalization and Big Data Analytics, and organized by the Bucharest University of Economic Studies.

The opening of the conference on Thursday, June 10, 2021 was followed by the plenary session. As a Guest Speaker, Mihaela Kelemen, a former ASE student who received her PhD from Oxford University and is currently a professor at Nottingham University in the UK, gave a lecture on: Building resilience through creative methodologies of research and engagement with fringe stakeholders in times of crisis.

On Friday, June 11, 2021, during the 12 parallel sessions organized by all the faculties of ASE, over 160 scientific papers were presented and over 300 researchers, PhD students and representatives of the private sector participated.

The ICESS also included two workshops: New Tech in the financial markets (in collaboration with the business environment) and PhD Workshop: Branding and Training talented researchers for new entrepreneurial and digital society in collaboration with EM Starsbourg, France.
