MEC and UEFISCDI launch “Simion Mehedinți” Scholarships awarded for the reintegration of returning Romanian researchers

The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) and the Executive Unit for Financing Higher Education, Research, Development and Innovation (UEFISCDI) announce the launch of the "Simion Mehedinți" Research Scholarships with a total budget of 3 million lei.

This funding instrument aims to support young researchers who have had a research internship in Germany and have an ongoing reintegration grant awarded by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to continue research in an institution in Romania.

Each individual scholarship is granted for a maximum period of two years, and its value is up to 7,500 euros / year.
