The Center for Advanced Fundamental and Applied Mathematical Research – CCMAFA, has been operating founded in 2011, within the Bucharest University of Economic Studies – ASE. The founding director was prof. univ. Maria Tudor, PhD in Mathematics, head of the Department of Mathematics at the Faculty of Cybernetics, Statistics and Informatics.
The mission of CCMAFA is to generate, disseminate and capitalize on the knowledge gained through scientific research. Its purpose is to promote fundamental and applied interdisciplinary research, especially in the economic field, through the research of university teachers, doctors of science, doctoral students, students and graduates, with scientific interests in mathematics, computer science, economics, engineering, social sciences.
The financial resources come from budgetary allocations by ASE for research-development-innovation, research grants from the Ministry of National Education and Scientific Research, research grants from domestic and international competitions, research-development-training contracts concluded with various beneficiaries from the economic and social environment, taxes and fees for the performed research, donations and sponsorships, or other funds resulting from the center’s activities.
