The AGRIDATA Center addresses topics such as agricultural policies, market analyses, resource efficiency, sustainability of agri-food organizations and other relevant aspects for adopting decisions in the agri-food field.
Some of the areas of activity of the AGRIDATA Center are as follows:
- Carrying out economic analyzes on the agri-food chain, evaluating the impact of policies on the agricultural sector and the economy as a whole, evaluating the impact of government measures and regulations on agricultural production, marketing, processing, storage, as well as the income of organizations;
- Resource efficiency and financial management in agriculture and the agri-food industry, conducting research and analysis on the efficient use of resources in agricultural holdings, optimizing the financial management of farms, including profitability assessment, cost and income analysis, as well as investment planning in agri-food organizations;
- Economic modeling in the agri-food sector, development of economic models and forecasting tools to assess the evolution of the agricultural sector and predict future economic trends, risk analysis, agricultural business planning and decision-making based on economic data;
- The development of regional and rural development strategies aimed at economic growth, infrastructure improvement, poverty reduction, environmental protection, in collaboration with local authorities, civil society organizations and other interested parties.
- Knowledge transfer and information dissemination by organizing events, workshops and seminars to share knowledge and experiences in agri-food innovation; facilitating communication between different stakeholders such as researchers, farmers, entrepreneurs and government institutions;
