The HR Excellence in Research is a prestigious label awarded by the European Commission, acknowledging institutions that align with the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers. At BUES, we are committed to maintaining ethical standards, promoting career development, and ensuring open and transparent recruitment processes as part of our mission to enhance the European Research Area.

Key Highlights

We are committed to fostering a research culture rooted in integrity and ethical behavior. Our comprehensive code of ethics ensures that all researchers operate within a framework of fairness, intellectual property rights, and non-discrimination. The Ethics Committee provides support in case of conflicts, promoting transparency and accountability in all academic activities.

We uphold the principles of open, transparent, and merit-based recruitment to attract the best talent. All research positions are widely advertised on the Human Resources page of our University and in EURAXESS, ensuring equal opportunities for national and international applicants. Our recruitment processes are clear and unbiased, promoting diversity and inclusion across all levels of research.

We actively support the mobility and career development of our researchers. Whether through international collaboration, access to state-of-the-art training programs, or participation in research grants, we are dedicated to enhancing researchers’ skills and promoting their growth within the global research community.

At BUES, we are committed to providing a work environment that supports the well-being and professional growth of our researchers. Our approach is structured around four key pillars:

Living and Working Conditions: We offer flexible working arrangements, along with rent-subsidized accommodation for researchers from outside Bucharest. Additional benefits include access to gyms, cafeterias, and medical services, creating a balanced and supportive environment for all.

Research Infrastructure: Our researchers have access to state-of-the-art facilities, research databases, and software, such as Bloomberg, Refinitiv, Audit Analytics, Statista, Orbis, Writefull, SCIVAL, InCites and Microsoft Office 360, ensuring they can conduct their work effectively. Regular training sessions on using these tools are provided to enhance research efficiency.

Personal Development: We encourage continuous learning and development through career counseling, cultural programs, and specialized training. Our researchers also benefit from programs tailored for career growth, such as the Master program in Communication in English for Teaching and Research –  EDURES.

Professional Development: We prioritize international mobility and collaboration, providing opportunities for researchers to engage with global peers through exchange programs and research grants. Support is also provided through mentorship and training, fostering the growth of our researchers at all stages of their careers.
